Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht has partnered with the Frederick Health Prenatal Center. The Frederick Health Prenatal Center provides outpatient prenatal Care, as well as Inpatient care. Frederick Health accepts uninsured patients and patients with select Medicaid MCOs.

We are looking for a part-time or full-time Certified Nurse Midwife with solid prenatal and inpatient care. We are also looking for someone that possesses a strong team spirit and a passion for birth and caring for women. This position would report to Frederick Health three days a week. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Examining and monitoring pregnant women.
  • Assessing care requirements and writing care plans for patients.
  • Carrying out screening tests.
  • Providing information, emotional support, and reassurance to patients as needed.
  • Monitoring and recording patient vital signs.
  • Advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies.
  • Ensuring all patient records are up to date.
  • Identifying high-risk pregnancies.
  • Refer patients to support groups and services, such as the WIC program.

Qualifications:

  • Active license as a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife
  • 2+ years of Certified Nurse Midwife experience required
  • Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
  • Active DEA Number
