Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Position Summary:
Performs patient care both in the outpatient and inpatient settings under the supervision of a Medical Oncologist. Must possess credentials and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maine.
The Nurse Practitioner serves as an essential member of the patient care team responsible for delivering direct and indirect care utilizing the NP scope of practice. The NP will be responsible for assessing health status, developing and executing interventions collaboratively with the clinical team evaluating patient responses. Duties may be delegated according to the education and practice standard of the team member. A medical provider and/or Medical Director will be available to assist and/or supervise the Nurse Practitioner in patient evaluation and management. The NP practices in accordance with CMH’s Policies and Procedures and HIPAA.
Regulatory Requirements:
• Masters degree in Nursing Science (MSN)
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred. Required within 2 years of hire.
• Advanced Practice Oncology (AOCNP) certification preferred. Required within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of one (1) year oncology experience.
• Licensed by the State of Maine as an advanced practice registered nurse (Nurse Practitioner).
