Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team.

 

Position Summary: The Physician Assistant serves as an essential member of the patient care team responsible for delivering direct and indirect care utilizing the PA scope of practice. The PA will be responsible for assessing health status, developing and executing interventions collaboratively with the clinical team evaluating patient responses. Duties may be delegated according to the education and practice standard of the team member. A medical provider and/or Medical Director will be available to assist and/or supervise the Physician Assistant in patient evaluation and management. The PA practices in accordance with CMH’s Policies and Procedures and HIPAA.

  • Unencumbered license to practice as PA in the state of Maine or eligible to receive in the State of Maine
  • PA must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program; NCCPA certified
  • PA must complete 100 hours of CME every two (2) years and take the recertification exam every six (6) years
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS preferred
  • Current DEA with no restrictions
  • Strong computer skills, including EMR/HER
